Unfortunately war has never created peace or freedom, only peace, love and compassion can create all that most of us desire. I have a very hard time commemorating a day were thousands were killed for what they thought was right, both sides. I only wish strength of heart and mind in the coming times that more will choose love than any other. Fighting fear, anger and hatred with violence only creates more. Do it for my beautiful innocent children!
But what of "The Revolutionary War" of The United States against the established British Colonies? :flag waver: Are you saying that it didn't produce one of the best documents to date for the freedom of mankind? This war DID produce freedom for a few dozen decades at least. After that things get debatable.
It is a beautiful document, but it did create the world greatest war machine, a military larger than the rest of the world combine, a lot of beautiful minds have flourish in your country but we in Canada (not that we are great) are not that different than America and left Britain slowly but without war... Still not sure how the revolutionary wr created peace...
The United States Constitution did not create the worlds greatest war machine. It simply stated the overlay and spiritually Masonic builder "Duhh" of things needed to produce a New World and new way of things. And it has worked very well up to a certain point.
Sorry for any confusion the document has nothing to do with war, the revolutionary war created the stage for the creation of the US which is the worlds greatest war machine, I am not debating the US constitution only the reality that war will never create peace (it simply goes against laws of the universe- love attracts love , hate attracts hate)
At the highest levels this is true. It's just too bad we (as the sane ones) can't convince our rulers of this. Sorry Ryan, it's late and I have to work tomorrow. But thank you for the thought and comments which are usually and sadly NOT GENERALLY what I expect from here. :peace;
Original Message
Why haven't I seen a single thread here today in commemoration of today's D-Day anniversary?
This is an important anniversary and without the sacrifices made that day, we wouldn't be able to be here today and discuss what we do daily.
Let's give a round of applause to those who sacrificed for us all 68 years ago today.
