King of the Subway
Jared Fogle, the Subway pitchman who lost an amazing 245 pounds eating low-fat sandwiches, is the world's best-behaved superstar.
A half-dozen years after he became the Subway chain's spokesman, Jared has yet to flame out, turn to drugs, get caught with a hooker or have plastic surgery.
As monthly magazine The Rake points out in its new issue, Subway's sales jump by 10 percent when Jared commercials are on the air.
He lives in Indianapolis with his wife and travels some 200 days a year giving motivational speeches on the fast-food chain's behalf.
While some cynics put down Jared's endless reign as TV spokesman, the people love him.
Those fighting their weight are even lining up to get pre-recorded phone messages from Jared telling them to buck up, eat better and get some exercise.
Jared won't reveal his salary, but says he is treated very well.
The once-obese superstar is recognized around the world. In Hawaii, he tells The Rake, Jerry Seinfeld introduced himself at a restaurant.
A grinning Seinfeld asked, "You're Jared, right?"
