Jordan's prime minister has announced price hikes for gas and other fuels, setting off demonstrations in the capital, Amman, and at least two other cities.

"Revolution, revolution, it is a popular revolution," chanted about 1,000 protesters in a protest at a main square. They were affiliated with Muslim, leftist and youth opposition groups. (AP)
