Original Message ...is getting worse and worse and worse. Anyone else have a window into the lives of today's youth? What is wrong with these kids? We're breeding mindless, thankless, narcissistic sociopathic, hedonistic things. I partially blame entertainment outlets for all the crap they constantly blast our kids with.

Music is all about giving into social pressures, whether it be sex, drugs, etc.

If I look back on my life when I was 14-22 I was VERY hedonistic. All I cared about was what felt good-in the moment experiences. I was influenced a lot by music and tv...all of my friends were. I made it out alive and changed my ways. Most of my friends weren't so lucky, and are still to this day paying for their naive choices. Whether it be pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases, drug addiction, horrible relationship patterns, or death.

But now...its all getting worse. Music and movies are getting more shocking in attempt to try and top each other. More sexually explicit material is making its way into our children's lives.

I grew up in the 90s, and like any kid I sought out sexual images. We didn't have a computer in our house until I was around 9 or 10, and I mostly played games on it, dial up was a bitch!! My first sexual images were from soft core movies on cable. Shocking, but not damaging.

Today kids are practically raised by the internet and cell phones. & internet porn is NOT like your fathers nudie magazines.
These kids are growing up seeing sexually explicit, often sexually violent images. Where as I saw images of two people in a "making love" type situation, kids today are more likely to see extreme POV images and gangbang images.

This all makes an impact on them and it shows.

Now kids are being taught that you know what...its not only "normal" but fun!

Look up the high school football players that drugged a girl, raped her...anally raped her, passed her around at parties, then taped themselves joking about it.

I could never in a million years imagine damaging someone like that. You've most likely ruined this girls life, and they think its hilarious.

This new movie is coming out called SpringBreakers...look up the trailer if you don't know what it is. Now even though it isn't the first teeny bikini movie ever to permeate the nations minds, it brings something completely different to the table. These young girls will go to great lengths of sexual exploitation, violence, complete immorality all for the sake of "spring break" Giving up every shred of human decency for hedonistic, self destructive behavior.

Two of the stars of this film are former Disney stars. I think that casting move was on purpose. Sure you can argue that Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens are old enough and are their own people who can make decisions for themselves. But you also can't deny that they hold in their hands a large amount of underage, naive followers. Girls and boys who will probably do whatever they can do see this film.

Now this film alone is not the problem but it certainly adds to the pile and raises the bar (if you want to call it that) for the next series of crap Hollywood will try to shove down our throats.

It is a sign of the times.
