[quote:stoidi:MV8yMTkyNjM2XzM3MTE4OTAyX0E4Qjc4QThF] Let's see, in Captain Cook, on about 1/2 acre we grow coffee, look out over the ocean, and live peacefully. We have ferrel chickens, turkeys, pheasants, an occasional pig and lots of sunshine. We live on the slope of the mountain in a peaceful community. We don't have A/C or heat. If we are cold we close our windows, hot, open them and turn on the fan. We drink the finest coffee in the world, have a garden, fresh bananas and oranges...... We could fish or catch one of those pesky ferrel animals. Life is good. Would we trade it for a mainland city? No way. Follow your heart. Big Island is fine. We have a four bedroom, 3 bath house. Currently owe less than those condos you mentioned. Have a great day.:tomato: [/quote]
I am American, currently live in Canada.
Hubby and I have professional jobs, no kids, live in condo and are urbanites.
But we are not fulfilled.
I have been thinking we should drop everything and move to Maui.
Good idea or not?
