China's state news agency says there has been two new cases of H7N9 bird flu in central Henan province, bringing to 57 the number of Chinese infected.
Officials say 11 people have so far died after contracting the new strain of the virus.
The latest cases come a day after a seven-year-old girl was taken ill with the virus in the capital, Beijing, north of Henan. It's the city's first confirmed case of H7N9.
Four more cases were reported Sunday in eastern Zhejiang province and two more in Jiangsu.

There are no reported cases outside the country, according to the World Health Organization.
Michael O'Leary, head of WHO's office in China, said the organization had been expecting new cases of the infection to occur.
O'Leary said "the good news" was that there was still no evidence that humans had passed on the virus to other humans.
