It freaked my daughter out. I just kept finding them. I told her not a week ago that her dearly departed grandmother (my mom) was the Queen of clover. She could find multi leaf clovers like crazy. I remember her finding 4, 5, 6 and even...believe it or not...a 7 leaf clover once. I told my daughter her grandma had super human clover skills....

So today...they were just like jumping out at me...everywhere I looked I could see one. My daughter would take it and run in the house to press it in one of her books...now...my daughter will be 20 in June so it was kinda cool to mystify her this way...she was stunned. The more I found, the more amazed she was. When I pulled up the 5 leaf she was speechless.

I could say it was special...but...I could also say I understand clover pretty well and a multi leaf clover is a genetic aberration. It will repeat itself in a patch. Last year I found 2 4 leaf clovers in the same area...so I knew there would be more there this year...if you do not kill the root...they expand and multiply. I knew there would be some in the patch I was exploring...the 5 leaf kinda surprised even me...maybe next year I'll find a 6 and the year after a 7....don't know...

It was funny as hell though...If you could have seen the look of absolute puzzlement on my daughters face when I would pop one out....priceless.

I am of Irish descent...both sides....so I told my daughter I was "King of the Clover fields"...I think she actually believes me!
