And forcing us to pay the fee even if you never watch BBC !!! :grumpy2:
I haven't had a license for 12 years because it's only required for live broadcasts. Despite the fact that I'm not legally required to have one, TV Licensing agents have spent an incredible amount of time over the years, writing to me and visiting my property. I allow them access and they seem satisfied when they leave however it's not long before they start to write again and the process starts over.
I didn't have a TV for 6 months, I got visited 9 times, I told them in writing, I told them on the phone, I got so pissed off with it, I got a TV
Who am I to say, please judge for yourself.
There's more...
Well it seems the board of Directors decided to come clean about the affair.
It fell upon James's shoulders to break the news today.
For me, memories stirred of Tony Hayward's apology for the BP Oil Spill Disaster and I pondered the possibility that Tony may have shared with James details of his 'script writer.'
~ You've got to admire the 'honesty.'
James Purnell, BBC's director of strategy and digital: "We've messed up, we're sorry"
The 2011 review may seem regrettable now but with hindsight some may find it amusing.
Background to this study
As the BBC’s governing body, the BBC
Trust acts to get the best out of the BBC
for licence fee payers. In part this means
ensuring that the BBC continues to provide
excellent value for money. We commission
Value for Money investigations into specific
areas of BBC activity to help ensure that
licence fee payers are getting the best
possible return on every pound of their
licence
fee.

Let's hope Tony's back on his feet now, I remember that was a tough time for him.
