Original Message This is a weird topic and prob won't be a long lived thread but it was a thing I was thinking about and just had to ask the masses.

What do you think is the most charming accent when speaking the English language?

I have met people from literally all over the world that speak English...and I have always been fascinated with the slight differences and subtle nuances of their dialect and accent.

My family is from one side German and from the other Scott-Irish...

Germans don't really have a lock down on sexy or charming when speaking English....Irish is pretty cool....Scotts...wel sometimes even when they are speaking English you have to ask "was that English?"...

I have met some folks from the Caribbean that have a wonderful accent....

But I have to say....my particular favorite is...

There was a group of ladies that opened a small, eclectic store in our town years ago....they sold antiques, candles, crafts....pretty common stuff...they were all from Wales...and they could just about talk me into buying anything...I was literally charmed by them...their accents, intonations...etc....were so captivating...it was like being beguiled or enamored....but wonderful at the same time. Sometimes I would go in there, buy something and in an hour or two after I left would be like "why the hell did I buy this?" Nah...it wasn't that bad...but it was pretty amazing. I have to say...when the Welsh speak English...they put a twist on it that no one else does....

So....what is your opinion?...Who has the most mystifying accent to you? (when speaking English that is)
