We finally had a clear night tonight, and I was able to take some pictures. I don't have a telescope, so this was the best I could do:

This object is visible just above the western horizon, right after sunset, but it disappears behind the horizon after only 30 minutes.

It's not Venus. Venus dominates the sky a little later, in an entirely different location, and is white instead of orange.

It's not Mars. Mars doesn't show up until closer to morning.
