[quote:Simple27:MV8yMzkxMDE5Xzc0Nzk4NTMxXzEzMTQ1N0RC] [quote:InterMezzo:MV8yMzkxMDE5Xzc0Nzk2MjYwX0ZDRjRGMkJF] My mom, who was very down to earth and not one to just make up stories had a few of those experiences with a dear friend that passed. She was sitting in her chair and saw a shadow on the couch of a tall person (just like her friend.) And when mom stared at it, even though scared as hell, that shadow stood up and disappeared. Another time, when she was washing herself, she saw a shadow passing behind her with a suitcase. A day later mom had heart failure and was admitted to the hospital. One more.. my grandmother, on her death bed, very ill and hardly conscious, just before she passed, she grabbed my mom's hand, raised up and said in a clear voice: "Yes, I will be right there!" A few moments later she was gone... :ghostsd:
Wow Mezzo, thanks for sharing! It's incredible really. One of the many things that fascinates me. : ) There's probably a handful of women in my family who have these types of experiences. Sometimes a lot more intense than my story from the other night. My mom, my mom's two sisters, my mom's cousin (also female) and myself have all had multiple experiences. I'd be willing to bet that my grandmother (my mom's mother) also has, but she's never told me about any. :scared2:
I accidentally deleted the OP of this thread during some glitch issues on GLP this morning (10/30/17).
I will be posting some useful links in the next post to make it easier for those posting so you don't have to scroll through a massive OP. :)
I had to delete the first two comments on this thread to do so, but wanted to keep them so I've put them below.

I also would like to mention that I know this thread has MANY pages and that it can be somewhat intimidating to join/chime in on a long standing thread as a new member/AC (I've experienced it when I first joined GLP), but we are a VERY welcoming group to those who newly join us. We are a small family of sorts who are all mostly interested in the same earth-related topics (quakes/solar/volcanoes/weather/etc.) and share info on each of those topics as well as 'off-topic' discussions. We genuinely care for one another here and even when we do not agree with each other, we ALWAYS respect each other.
I truly enjoy when new folks join us here. All that I ask is to show respect. :)
