[quote:KickinIt:MV8yMzkxMDE5Xzc5NzkwOTU0Xzk4NURCNDk5] [quote:mistersplinter:MV8yMzkxMDE5Xzc5NzkwODYxX0MyRDg3OUUy] Sounds like a nightmare. Sorry you had to deal with that. The only problems that I've had with Amazon were third party sellers not shipping stuff out in a timely manner...all were resolved over time.
One of the packages that was damaged and is now being returned to Amazon from the USPS was my second attempt at that same order. Same thing happened when I tried the first time in later March or early April. And as far as the other package currently in limbo, if you're a 3rd party vendor and you're sending $100 worth of merchandise with no tracking you're an idiot. I actually said in my email I'd like the tracking # or a refund. When she responded that's how I found out they don't use tracking and she said she's resend. Which seemed strange she'd be so quick to resend another $100 of merchandise. That's not what I wanted at this point but thanks to Amazon's shitty system I can't just email her back directly, I'd have to go through their system again to "email the seller". The whole thing is annoying as hell. I feel like crap supporting Amazon anyway so good riddance.
I accidentally deleted the OP of this thread during some glitch issues on GLP this morning (10/30/17).
I will be posting some useful links in the next post to make it easier for those posting so you don't have to scroll through a massive OP. :)
I had to delete the first two comments on this thread to do so, but wanted to keep them so I've put them below.

I also would like to mention that I know this thread has MANY pages and that it can be somewhat intimidating to join/chime in on a long standing thread as a new member/AC (I've experienced it when I first joined GLP), but we are a VERY welcoming group to those who newly join us. We are a small family of sorts who are all mostly interested in the same earth-related topics (quakes/solar/volcanoes/weather/etc.) and share info on each of those topics as well as 'off-topic' discussions. We genuinely care for one another here and even when we do not agree with each other, we ALWAYS respect each other.
I truly enjoy when new folks join us here. All that I ask is to show respect. :)
