[quote:Simple27:MV8yMzkxMDE5XzUyMTM1NjEzXzgyMUNGQjBB] Heat to Peak From DC to Boston After Labor Day "Summer is going to dig its heels in across the Northeast for much of the week," stated AccuWeather Meteorologist Brian Thompson, "as it will feel more like late July or early August rather than September." The same area of high pressure that allowed the holiday weekend to start on a mostly dry and comfortable note will shift offshore, opening the door for heat and humidity to build through the first part of this week. The temperature departure from normal will be so great in some places that record highs will be challenged. This includes in Boston; Providence, Rhode Island; New York City and Albany, New York; and Baltimore. Residents with outdoor plans are urged to drink plenty of water, wear light clothing and avoid strenuous activities during the hottest times of the day (the midday and afternoon hours) to prevent suffering from heat exhaustion or stroke. This includes sports players who typically do not have to deal with such summerlike conditions in early September. http://www.accuweather.com/en/weather-news/dc-nyc-boston-heat-to-peak-aft/52226917
I accidentally deleted the OP of this thread during some glitch issues on GLP this morning (10/30/17).
I will be posting some useful links in the next post to make it easier for those posting so you don't have to scroll through a massive OP. :)
I had to delete the first two comments on this thread to do so, but wanted to keep them so I've put them below.

I also would like to mention that I know this thread has MANY pages and that it can be somewhat intimidating to join/chime in on a long standing thread as a new member/AC (I've experienced it when I first joined GLP), but we are a VERY welcoming group to those who newly join us. We are a small family of sorts who are all mostly interested in the same earth-related topics (quakes/solar/volcanoes/weather/etc.) and share info on each of those topics as well as 'off-topic' discussions. We genuinely care for one another here and even when we do not agree with each other, we ALWAYS respect each other.
I truly enjoy when new folks join us here. All that I ask is to show respect. :)
