Hoping they can fit me in on Friday but who knows when it will really happen. It will be done at the hospital with the possibility of just using general anesthesia as I almost always come up out of the light sedation usually used for a colonoscopy - seems I have kinky intestines lol - and in severe pain. Never had the upper done, just glad I will be out. Personally, I think most of this has to do with the gallbladder removal followed by a hernia repair a year later. There are certain issues that fall into the category of TMI but I think it is effecting my liver and too much bile being produced. The GI doesn't agree - of course. She is convinced without even seeing me that it is an ulcer. Had one of those when I was 12 and I know what ulcer pain is - this is different. Most like the gallbladder attacks before I had that damned thing out. Anyway, God willing, the problem will be found and fix and pain will be over.
Your assessment sound spot on (although I'm no doctor). I bet it is related to the gallbladder/hernia stuff (although diverticulitis crossed my mind). An endoscopy doesn't sound fun at all, but I'm glad you are being proactive and I will keep positive thoughts that it's nothing major and easily fixable.
Thank you KickinIt :hugs: I go in on Friday to the hospital. It is the prep for the colonoscopy that is a .... BITCH!!!! You start the day before on clear liquids, and though there are different ways it is asked to be done, it amounts to a jug of nasty tasting stuff plus Duculax to give you massive SQUIRTS. It has to be almost clear to get the best results. Dr gave me a little tiny pill that I take every morning to help with chronic constipation (shhhhhh, no laughing) which has been horrible since the hernia repair. For about 5 days it will give you the "squirts" (okay, I like typing that more than diarrhea) and then is suppose to just keep you regular. Sooooooo by Friday I will: "Call Roto-Rooter, that's the name, and away go troubles down the drain." You have to be of a certain age to remember that jingle!!!:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:
I accidentally deleted the OP of this thread during some glitch issues on GLP this morning (10/30/17).
I will be posting some useful links in the next post to make it easier for those posting so you don't have to scroll through a massive OP. :)
I had to delete the first two comments on this thread to do so, but wanted to keep them so I've put them below.

I also would like to mention that I know this thread has MANY pages and that it can be somewhat intimidating to join/chime in on a long standing thread as a new member/AC (I've experienced it when I first joined GLP), but we are a VERY welcoming group to those who newly join us. We are a small family of sorts who are all mostly interested in the same earth-related topics (quakes/solar/volcanoes/weather/etc.) and share info on each of those topics as well as 'off-topic' discussions. We genuinely care for one another here and even when we do not agree with each other, we ALWAYS respect each other.
I truly enjoy when new folks join us here. All that I ask is to show respect. :)
