[quote:Earth420:MV8yMzkxMDE5XzQzOTQ4MjQ0X0EwQzJCRkJB] I have noticed that most of the quakes with testimonials are talking about swaying and swaying buildings and the length of time on the quakes seem to really be a longer time in length... These I'm just throwing out there as I read through them... from the Canada quake... I am also concentrating on more of the feelings... right before a quake it seems that people are becoming dizzy or nauseous... "unlike the other earthquakes I have felt.....it was more of a swaying/shaking... it really shook our house...I felt like the house might be damaged or collapse. It was very scary! only 2nd one I have ever felt 20 years in this area Was in a meeting at the Maritime Heritage Centre by the Pier. Definitely felt it. It lasted for at least 30 seconds. It jolted and then was followed by gentle swaying for about 10 - 15 seconds I felt dizzy and nauseous and thought it was me not having enough food in my system since I'm 5 months pregnant then my husband called and asked if I felt it then I knew it was a earthquake. It lasted about 30 secs to a minute after he felt it in Campbell River. Made me and my daughter feel sick, instant vertigo feeling. I was sitting quietly when I felt a bit dizzy/nauseous then felt the shaking. My son managed to convince me it was all in my head then I looked at Facebook and it was pretty obvious that it had actually happened. Pay attention to your instinct, people.. even if you have pessimistic teens :)" (I can relate to this one, ha ha!) http://www.emsc-csem.org/Earthquake/Testimonies/comments.php?id=374306
I accidentally deleted the OP of this thread during some glitch issues on GLP this morning (10/30/17).
I will be posting some useful links in the next post to make it easier for those posting so you don't have to scroll through a massive OP. :)
I had to delete the first two comments on this thread to do so, but wanted to keep them so I've put them below.

I also would like to mention that I know this thread has MANY pages and that it can be somewhat intimidating to join/chime in on a long standing thread as a new member/AC (I've experienced it when I first joined GLP), but we are a VERY welcoming group to those who newly join us. We are a small family of sorts who are all mostly interested in the same earth-related topics (quakes/solar/volcanoes/weather/etc.) and share info on each of those topics as well as 'off-topic' discussions. We genuinely care for one another here and even when we do not agree with each other, we ALWAYS respect each other.
I truly enjoy when new folks join us here. All that I ask is to show respect. :)
