Dutch saying that there might be volcano action off the coast of Cali. That might explain the activity. Start it around 3:00 and go from there to see why he's saying this. This video was posted 2 days ago, so the activity he saw that he's questioning took place the day before (10th).
I posted the above on 12/13. Below is a new video posted yesterday. I didn't watch it all myself, but the first 4 min. or so gets to the point- a box of lava rocks that a viewer sent him, found onshore near Eureka, CA. It is surmised this is related to the volcano activity he noted in the first video. And, in the comments from this new vid., I saw this: Nice work Debbie and Ron M. going over to the coast and finding those lava rocks on the beach near Orick!! and then sending them to Dutch. As you probably know they where having a series of loud "booms" around Eureka/Arcata last week. Right during the period Dutch found the volcanic plume right off the coast from Eureka >>><<< :damned:
This Youtube video and the articles are helpful.....December 2016 Underwater volcano erupts off Oregon coast https://youtu.be/ohHiImaS0Ow Underwater Volcano Offers Rare Look at Eruption in Real Time Axial Seamount off the Oregon coast gave geologists the show of a lifetime thanks to careful predictions and a network of sunken sensors. https://news.nationalgeographic.com/2016/12/underwater-volcano-eruption-prediction-axial-seamount-science/ A massive underwater volcanic eruption is captured in real time https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/speaking-of-science/wp/2016/12/16/a-massive-underwater-volcanic-eruption-is-captured-in-real-time/?utm_term=.9c41f0436371 :eye_balls:
Thanks for the links John. Original Message
I accidentally deleted the OP of this thread during some glitch issues on GLP this morning (10/30/17).
I will be posting some useful links in the next post to make it easier for those posting so you don't have to scroll through a massive OP. :)
I had to delete the first two comments on this thread to do so, but wanted to keep them so I've put them below.

I also would like to mention that I know this thread has MANY pages and that it can be somewhat intimidating to join/chime in on a long standing thread as a new member/AC (I've experienced it when I first joined GLP), but we are a VERY welcoming group to those who newly join us. We are a small family of sorts who are all mostly interested in the same earth-related topics (quakes/solar/volcanoes/weather/etc.) and share info on each of those topics as well as 'off-topic' discussions. We genuinely care for one another here and even when we do not agree with each other, we ALWAYS respect each other.
I truly enjoy when new folks join us here. All that I ask is to show respect. :)
