[quote:molesworth NLI 90603:MV8yNDAzMDFfNDM1NDkwNV9GNkI5OTM3Rg==] OP - have you adjusted for daylight savings/summer time? An hour's difference is quite a lot. [/quote]
Original Message
Somebody posted earlier this week that they noticed the sun was too far north.
I decided to check it out myself.
Several years ago, I bought some astronomy software by Meade.
This morning I brought it up, checked to be sure my Lat. and Long. was plugged in correctly, the date and time were correct. I checked for the sun's position at 7:30 am.
According to the software, the sun should be due East.
I left the house at 7:31am and headed down a street that is exactly East and South running. Guess what?
The sun was not at the 12 o'clock position as it should have been. It was at the 10 o'clock position - more East Northeast. It was not just a LITTLE off position, but a LOT.
I don't know what this means, but I thought I'd pass that along.
