[quote:Anonymous Coward 52894529:MV8yNDcxMzY0XzQyNTczODA4XzdBNUE5MzA0] [quote:Anonymous Coward 53199988:MV8yNDcxMzY0XzQyNTczNDU5Xzc5MzBBRUIz] When my child died in a car accident , I did not want to live . I would call on Jesus in my weeping heap on the floor and His amazing peace would descend . Nothing else brought comfort , only Him and His love and peace AND hope . You can't make that up .
Ummm, yes you can. The human mind is resilient at coming up with bullshit to keep going. In fact you might say it is a programmed mental reset, a real Deus Ex Machina if you will. I'm more in this camp: "Is there in the whole world a being who would have the right to forgive and could forgive? I don't want harmony. From love for humanity I don't want it. I would rather be left with the unavenged suffering. I would rather remain with my unavenged suffering and unsatisfied indignation, even if I were wrong. Besides, too high a price is asked for harmony; it's beyond our means to pay so much to enter on it. And so I hasten to give back my entrance ticket, and if I am an honest man I am bound to give it back as soon as possible. And that I am doing. It's not God that I don't accept, Alyosha, only I most respectfully return him the ticket." - Fyodor Dostoevsky, The Brothers Karamazov Christianity is an unbalanced equation. So much evil, so much suffering, and no amount of grace, and no eternal pearly gates will ever make good on those that were ripped from this life before their time.
I don't want to debate anymore. I'm sick of debating on this site and everywhere about God. I want to talk about God, I want to praise God. I have just felt the presence of God and I feel love for him.
He is like a beautiful gem stone. A faithful friend, righteous and fair. Who can bless the Lord enough ?
