I told him I didn't have a computer, and he played stupid. I repeated that I didn't have a computer and he said, "What?! Everyone has a computer. You're lying." lol So I said, "Well not me! So why are you calling me telling me my computer is spreading viruses when I don't even own a computer?!" Then he started cursing at me. :chuckle: I've also resorted to, "My husband is a police officer, you can call back later, and speak to him." Most of the time I don't pick up, but when I'm in a mood and their call has irritated me, I will answer and have a little fun. :D
When AT&T or the yellow pages calls I tell them I don't have a phone...
:chuckle: I did the same thing many times. When power companies call I say we run extension cords from the business next door.
Original Message
For weeks at least twice a day I was getting calls about my computer not being "secure".
Some of these people spoke english, some did not.
I tried saying take me off your list. I tried saying I know this is a scam.
Nothing worked. Finally...I answered saying "hello, this is homeland security. How may I direct your call?"
Guess what? They hung up on me and I haven't been bothered since.
Sorry, but it was getting REALLY annoying, running for the phone just to see "toll-free call" yet again.
I've had more than one serious calls about loved ones being in bad accidents, so yes I do run when the phone rings.
