[quote:cookie lady:MV8yNTY1MTM5XzQ0NjA2ODY3XzUwREFBQkMw] Even if the assertion is correct how does he account for the millions of people who have entered the workforce or tried to enter the workforce in the same period of time. It is difficult to find a consensus number but various sources say 403,000 / month (http://www.economicpopulist.org/content/how-many-jobs-are-needed-keep-population-growth), another 351,290/ month (http://wallstcheatsheet.com/stocks/how-many-jobs-does-the-us-economy-need-to-add-per-month-to-return-to-pre-crisis-levels.html/)are the number of jobs that need to be added. The fuzzy math the government uses and the questionable record keeping of the census department make me question any claims from the Administration [/quote]

60 % were low paying jobs.... so the numbers are great but the jobs are bad...
Did all of the people here who lost their job.... are you all now employed?
We’ve Regained the Jobs Lost in the Recession, But the Recovery Isn’t Complete
The U.S. added 217,000 nonfarm jobs in May, fewer than in April but in line with economists’ expectations. But for once, the number that gets the most attention may not be the change in jobs, but the absolute number: 138.5 million, a new record. Five years after the recession ended, the U.S. finally has as many jobs as when it began.
That’s a largely symbolic milestone, one that doesn’t reflect population growth or other factors
