So, I went to the metropolitan museum of art today. It was pretty fantastic, but i noticed a lot of masonic imagery (obviously--Rockefellers had a ton of things there). I was wondering if anyone could tell me more about a specific hand signal that I saw in a lot of the paintings and statues.
It looks like the middle and ring finger are touching with spaces between the index and the pinky. Often the pinky and the index are in front of the middle too.
An example here. Her left hand.

There are too many of them to be a coincidence, and with paintings, a lot of thought goes into every detail. Perhaps its an inside signal that initiates put into their work to let people in the know "know". I'd love to hear the knowledge you guys have! thanks!
