[quote:TrustNoOneKS:MV8yNzU2NDQ3XzQ4MzM1NjA0XzkxMTNGNEFC] Cool thread. The weirdest thing I can recall is that my brother swears that I was repeatedly abducted by aliens when we were kids, but I have no recollection of anything like that. The scariest thing would be when I was 15, it was picture day at school and I had forgotten my tights for my cheerleading outfit for the picture, so I had to run home really quick to get them. We lived out in the middle of nowhere and I was driving down a dirt road that barely had enough room for 2 cars. I was going about 45-50 and coming up a hill. There was a truck going the other way and we were both towards the middle of the road, so I swerved to avoid the truck. I hit the ditch which catapulted the car up into the air and flipped it. I wasn't wearing my seatbelt and was ejected quite a ways out the side window. I landed hard on my back on a large rock and the car was still rolling and was leaning over me about to crush me when it ended up going back the other way and coming to rest due to losing equilibrium. I was freaked out because I couldn't move and for a split second I thought the car was going to crush me. I was completely paralyzed and since it was in the middle of nowhere the guy in the truck had to leave me to go get help. It felt like forever before I heard the ambulance and police sirens on their way to where I was. That was the scariest feeling in the world being stuck there all by myself and not able to move. I was just sure that I was paralyzed for life. Luckily, I did get movement back after an hour or two. The doctors said it was spinal shock from my spine hitting that large rock. I had a huge bruise across my back and still have some scars on my back from the glass of going through the window. When they were loading me into the ambulance, the sheriff told me that it was a 1 in a million chance that not wearing my seatbelt saved my life and he asked me if I was going to wear my seatbelt from now on. To this day, I always wear my seatbelt. The weird thing was that was probably the only time I wasn't wearing my seatbelt because I was in a hurry. The car's roof was completely flattened down to the doors and had I been wearing my seatbelt I probably would have been crushed. The weird thing about the car wreck is that years later my brother told me that my dad had confided in him that he was a 33rd degree mason and had walked away from them. He had received a call that morning that something was going to be done to me. [/quote]
