Original Message After taxes, mortgage, utilities, food, etc. I basically have to work at least 10 hours of overtime per week before any of the money I earn goes into my pocket. Then not much of it stays in my pocket, there is always a holiday, or someone's birthday or special occasion or a home repair. In reality I have to work probably 20 hours of overtime per week before I make any money.

Basically, I'm lucky if I can buy a slice of pizza or a turkey sandwich for myself once or twice a week. Otherwise I don't have anything at all in my life that is a decision that I get to make.

Is everyone's life like this, or am I particularly bad at life?
