[quote:Tamonten:MV8yODExNDI5XzUzNjI4NjA3XzlGNUIyMTg1] I'll bump this thread for the first time after more than half a year of waiting. As a side not, I do want to redo it a bit and to translate the rest of the series - as well as the whole concert "from Rus' to Russia" that can be one of the best introductions into Russian history... well, and, actually many other things I want to share. But, despite many people here repeatedly assuring me that my English is good, I still need a native speaker editor to check my translations. Especially when it's a long narrative or a song. And, for now - a part of this concert I was speaking about: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rBZGuvzotGA This translation is one I found, but I am forced to translate most of the songs myself, which is not a simple task at all... ] - there's a playlist for it, since I'm separating each episode into smaller ones

"When every one is dead the Great Game is finished. Not before." - Rudyard Kipling
The Great Game - Russian-British confrontation in Central Asia - or at least it was said so. This was a Cold War of the 19th century.
Actually, this is one and the same Cold Game, built on the same historical logic and mythology.
Modern western anti-Russian media rhetoric is a rather primitive plagiarism of British newspapers of century and a half ago.
Do not be afraid of the Cold War, I mean - The Great Game - because only when everyone is dead, the Great Game is finished. And we are still alive.
