[quote:Anonymous Coward 51079169:MV8yODM4ODMwXzU4MTkzMDU2XzcwMUYzQzc4] [quote:GUAM USA:MV8yODM4ODMwX0FGNDRFMzQy] But, I served 20 years in the US Army - Retired as an E7 - at the age of only 37. I decided to bring my family of 5 to the remote island of Guam. That decision had it's ups and downs - been here for 24+ years now - I want to think I made the right choice for me an my wife. Been married for about 33 yrs to a girl I met in Korea - I will never leave her - ever. My boys (3 of them) make more money a month than I ever had ( except when I ran a Beach Bar). Anyway, quit judging me because I claim Guam is my home - it is a US Territory and all of us here are US Citizens.
Why do you feel you are judged? Maybe because I am military retired myself and know about Guam and have friends who were stationed there - I don't think anything less of seeing that flag as an identifier. Since you have been there a while - and maybe feel a bit out of touch with CONUS I will remind you how diverse this place is and people treat each other here pretty crappy sometimes depending on what NFL team you are for, what state you are from, what accent you have - etc etc etc. So cheer up friend - we are ALL discriminated against for something. Every single human alive.
