Original Message I need to buy some respirators (gas masks) and filters, in order to protect myself and a family member from any ash that will come out of an eruption of the Yellowstone volcano.

I wear glasses, and my family member does not. So, do I buy half-face respirators? Or full-face respirators?

As for respirator size, most respirators come in small, medium, or large. As for *my* size, the circumference of my head is 25 inches, and my nose is a bit long. My family member's head has a circumference of 22 inches. So, which respirator size do we use, medium or large?

As for filters, I've read that P100 filters are the best filters. Is that correct?

By the way, I live in the Midwest.

Thanks for any information.
