Original Message Flint, Michigan Police Shoot Then Run Over Dog That Has a History Of Biting People

"Flint police say they had to run over an out of control dog to make it stop biting people in a neighborhood on Flint’s south side. While neighbors agree that the dog was a public nuisance, they don’t like how the case was handled. They say blood stains on the curb and the gloves inside of a sewer drain are proof that this case was mishandled by the Flint Police Department and Animal Control.

“It was actively attacking people,” says Captain Collin Bernie of the Flint Police Department.

Flint police say the pit bull has a history of attacking people. The dog allegedly bit four people on Wednesday.

“They did what was necessary and last-ditch effort, ran the dog over,” says Bernie."

"They say if a dog is out of control in your neighborhood, please give police a call."
