You can thank him for your comfy lifestyle. This is a disgrace them taking him off the ten. you make some good points op...
[quote:Anonymous Coward 55964108:MV8yODkxODIwXzUxMzg5NTc3XzJENDQ4RTM4] Aaron Burr = American Hero Alexander Hamilton was a freaking tyrant imposing taxes, supporting government power over individual rights, and Central Banks.
Both of these comments are very different but also, to an extent, very much true. We can thank Hamilton for our comfy lifestyle, without his contributions to funding the Continental Army we may have not lasted another decade as a nation. He did however envision and help to create the central bank, modeling it after the very nation's that the people here fought for freedom. What is the balance here? Could our United States have survived without a well funded army?
No the USA never would have lasted without their army...freedom isn't free...
“The best we can hope for concerning the people at large is that they be properly armed.”
Alexander Hamilton, The Federalist Papers
“The complete independence of the courts of justice is peculiarly essential in a limited Constitution. By a limited Constitution, I understand one which contains certain specified exceptions to the legislative authority .... Limitations of this kind can be preserved in practice no other way than through the medium of courts of justice, whose duty it must be to declare all acts contrary to the manifest tenor of the Constitution void. Without this, all the reservations of particular rights or privileges would amount to nothing.”

Alexander Hamilton co-authored the Federalist Papers and was dedicated to the ratification of the Constitution of the United States.

Before the ratification of the U.S. Constitution the 13 states formed a loose union with the Articles of Confederation. Because the Articles didn't provide for economic stability and a strong continental army the union was near collapse only 8 years after the Revolutionary War.

If Hamilton hadn't greatly contributed to the ratification of the U.S. Constitution our country very well may not have existed for over a decade.
First they divide us and ban a symbol of resistance to abusive federal authority using racism and now they will remove Hamilton from the face U.S. currency using racism as well.
