Original Message I went to a Home Depot store, in order to buy N95 respirators for protection against volcanic ash.

I saw the following two products:

3M Drywall Sanding Valved Respirator

3M Particulate Respirator 8511

I asked two Home Depot employees, which of these two products would give me better protection against volcanic ash.

Employee #1 said that, in his opinion, neither product would protect me from the ash.

Employee #2 said that the Drywall product would protect me only from Drywall. The other product would give more general protection and would protect me from volcanic ash.

So, what do you guys think? Which product should I buy? Thanks for any assistance.
