Me too. My phone call with NRC spokeswoman yesterday: "IT WAS A VERY COMPLICATED SHUTDOWN, NO QUESTION ABOUT IT" And its still going on. Day 4. Enjoy ~
SUMMARY if no time for video: (1) There still is no explanation for why the pumps shut down, (2) they still don't know what the problem is, (3) leaks were identified but spokesperson (Viktoria) "not sure where they are" - and (4) the situation is ONGOING. Also, Viktoria was very cautious about discussing radiation releases. You can easily detect she is nervous, and says several contradictory things in rapid succession. She went from "no radiation was released that WE DIDN'T EXPECT OR ANTICIPATE" which was then quickly corrected to "no radiation was released" - around 6:55 in video Original phone call lasted 22 minutes, but she was so redundant in her explanations, about basically everything, that I had to edit the call for time.
Did everyone forgot about STUXNET worm and on sabotage Iranian Nuclear Facilities by this virus ?
Multiple problems at site, Monroe MI/Lake Erie (SE Michigan)
Reactor is in Hot Shutdown
Large leak in turbine pump hose, but there's more.
Unisolable leak in feedwater system. Meaning, they can't find it.
Water level was 137 inches at lowest, at least that is what is being reported...meaning fuel have been uncovered.
Anyone local with eyes on this plant?
The NRC event is detailed here with add'l info detailing new leaks, etc.

If the cooling system is compromised, well. More on that later, hopefully it won't be necessary to discuss the ramifications of having a nuclear meltdown next to the largest freshwater lake system in the world. Oh, wait, they already had one there in 1966...
