PROCLAMATION:
WHEREAS, September 23rd, 2015, has now passed, and brought with it no events of particular significance whatsoever; and
WHEREAS, innumerable threads at GLP, as well as articles at related websites, plus innumerable youtube videos, threads, blog posts, etc, pointed to this date as being of mind-boggling or perhaps the ultimate significance; and
WHEREAS, such occurrences have the power to indescribably divert, distract, and derail many otherwise valuable threads, and distract from many topics of vital interest for world affairs; and
WHEREAS GLP remains one of the world's FOREMOST resources for promoting healthy interest in the nature of the world around us; and
WHEREAS, numerous issues of importance require the attention and awareness of the aforesaid GLP, including but not limited to numerous items of legislation, politics, extranormal phenomena, extra-terrestrial incursions, scientific discussions, and various other and related topics of import; and
WHEREAS the GLP assembly of tards, morans, shavers, etc, such as they are, remain one of humanity's vital resources in the march from ignorance to knowledge;
now THEREFORE, be it enacted, by the powers vested in me as OP of this thread, that September 23rd shall henceforth be known at GLP as THREADFAIL DAY, and that it shall be observed henceforth each year on that date; and the citizenry are enjoined to observe said date with suitable commemoration, including public addresses, discussions, collations, and perorations upon the power and the pitfalls attaching to dubious predictions of dates, to the detriment of those genuine issues of import which do require their attention.
In Witness WHEREOF, I do hereby set my signature upon this Proclamation, duly executed this date of the 23rd of September 2015, being of the independence of the United States of America the 240th year.
