Putin goes after Russians fighting inside ISIL
[ Editor’s Note: We all knew Russian air support against ISIL was coming after the UN show this week. Putin dotted his “Is” and crossed his “Ts”.
He had an invitation from the legitimate Syrian government whose ambassador there is a real live person and not a stuffed dummy. He also said Russia’s involvement would be limited to airstrikes and no ground troops…plain English.
That of course does not include the use of advisers and tech support people like the 3000 that the US has in Iraq…by invitation, also. And it does not include Special Operations troops who are always on the ground, in this case often in Jihadi disguise. The US, Brits and French have had them inside Syria for several years…and of course the Israelis. No one has more deployed than the US…70 countries admitted to this year.
But Putin did play the Bush (43) card today which VT has been predicting: “The only correct way to fight international terrorism… is to act preemptively, to battle and destroy fighters and terrorists on the territories they have already seized, not to wait for them to come to us.”
He went on to use his own version another classic line of “better to fight them over there than back here at home,” saying that terrorists should be crushed where they are on the battlefield and not allowed to return to their home countries with battle experience and hardened ideology.
Gosh, what a nasty thing to say about all those under privileged terrorists who probably just had a rough upbringing that a multi-trillion dollar foreign aid program could have avoided!

But the big black star goes to corporate media who has not said a word about all the totally fabricated stories being fed into the public arena, primarily from Israeli controlled well-oiled sources, some of it beyond the ridiculous as Gordon points out below.
Gordon and I are of an age when the major competing media platforms used to roast one another when catching someone printing or airing a bogus story. Reporters often made their bones this way with a big catch.
Now, because they all do it, there is a stand down on that area of investigative journalism. Everyone studying to go into the field take note. This is what is waiting for you, a slot to participate in the charade, where those with some standards are driven out early, only leaving the scum to rise to the top.
I will keep using this line, “Never have so many owed so little to so few” as the public owes corporate media, nothing but a rotten corpse of what it once was, warts and all. Completely invented sources are used all the time, including low cost sloppy operatives, as shown with the reference to the Free Syrian Army positions in Syria mentioned below, when they disbanded and retreated into Turkey last February.
You will not see any of these bogus stories today attacked by corporate media competitors because they all do it and want to keep their readers dumb and happy, many of whom are focus groups looking for their daily ideological fix and could care less if the material is true or not. Moscow says hello to ISIL with a new type of weapon we have not seen before, in the first strike. It looks like large bombs and clusters dropped together and impact at the same time. Those that follow are cluster bombs.
