This is interesting regarding the speculation that the current crisis is predcessor to a possible russian invasion of western Europe:

Considering both Merkel and Gauck are former East Germans and possible agents of the Russians it is quite feasable that the current flooding of Europe with Immigrants is a means of destabilisation and predeccessor to Russian military invasion.
