The day after Christmas, Washington State instituted laws that make it legal for men who feel they are women to use women's showers, locker rooms and dressing rooms, and women’s restrooms in every public facility and public school in Washington State. If a woman or girl is uncomfortable, then the woman or girl has to find alternative accommodation. There is no age limit on how young a girl might be who would be forced to share public showers and dressing rooms with adult biological males.
A bill, HB 2589 was introduced to repeal these laws, but House Judiciary Chair Laurie Jinkins, an open lesbian, continues to ignore constituents and citizens who would like to provide input on the bill. The bill must be heard and passed from the Judiciary Committee by February 5 or else it is dead.
Please call Rep. Laurie Jinkins' office to request that she schedule a hearing on HB 2589. Her office phone number is (360) 786-7930. Please be respectful and courteous when you call. Please encourage your friends and neighbors to do the same. Remember, she is actually prohibiting the citizens of Washington State from having a chance to speak to this issue.
For updates on this urgent issue, please following the Family Policy Institute of Washington (google this, as I cannot post links).
Thanks, Washingtonians, for standing up for the privacy and safety of women and children!
