“An enemy army,” Trump reiterated. “That’s how we ought to treat them.”
Darby’s report with Ortiz walked through how the cartels committed mass murders of hundreds—maybe thousands of people in cities and towns along Mexico’s border with the United States. Then, to cover up the mass executions, the cartels used a network of ovens to burn the bodies—hiding the evidence of their atrocities from their own government, which hasn’t done much to stop them, and the world.
