Original Message
There have been a few posts about the asteroid 2013 TX68 that is passing the earth between March 5th and 8th (depending on source)
Out of interest I've been checking spaceweather.com for updates.
Just noticed a new asteroid posted 2016 DV1 with a miss distance of 1 lunar distance. This asteroid is 46m in size which is 50% larger than TX68.
According to jpl.nasa's close approach data this asteroid was just discovered on Feb 28. The condition code shows 7 which means they don't have enough data to accurately predict the orbit.
Dr. Astro.... Please chime in with your comments. I'm hoping that you will have additional information from your contacts.
