Trump supporters need to pull their heads out of the sand.
The changing demographics in this country are making it very difficult for republicans to win on the national level. A republican candidate needs to pull votes from many sources that aren't traditionally republican leaning. They need to get minorities to vote for them, and young people, and moderate democrats.
That isn't going to happen for Trump. Between 1980 and 2004, the white male share of voters dropped from 45% to 35%. Today it's even lower. Recent research suggests that in order for trump to have a chance at victory, he will need at least 70% of the white male vote, 50% of the white women, and 95% of republicans, numbers that are unattainable. This is because he will not be tapping into the voter segments he needs.
That's why the establishment is fed up with him. He has done everything wrong. Instead of courting the black, Latino, and women voters, something a republican candidate HAS to do on the national level, he has ensured that they will vehemently oppose him. His dismal chances today will get even worse when a third party candidate gets pushed by the media and the establishment republicans behind the scenes.
I'm not pro Hillary or anti-Trump. I just feel the need to post some facts here today because of all of the trump supporters here blindly insisting he will win in a landslide. As things stand today, the simple demographics doom him; many dirty tricks will be in play as we go forward to bring his chances down further.
