Original Message So, already there are rumblings from/about those who want to undo Brexit and keep Great Britain in the EU. My question is -- what role does/can the queen and/or monarchy play in all this? My understanding from way back in high school is that the queen is more of a celebrity than any real part of the government -- on a day-to-day basis -- but if she were to get her druthers up, there's some kind of "kill-switch" in the law that would let her take back absolute rule like the kings of long ago. Is this accurate? Can anyone see a scenario where the monarchy gets involved in all this and drives Britain one way or another regarding membership in the EU?
