Ok first, the databases still contain data from many years on GLP, that's a good thing because you can check by yourself.
Between March and October 2009 a self proclaimed 'time traveler' started to post almost daily in this forum. As usual, you cannot take anything like that seriously, because roleplay used to reing (and still does) here.
That said, this person claimed to come from the 109th century and much of the material posted here is unique, meaning, you won't find anything like that on the entire internet; original content.

Person's name was 'Alcyone'. To make the story short, in my many years reading forums like this one, I never, ever, read that level of dedication. You have to picture a person releasing many times completely original material for months, day after day.
Why to come back with all this legacy material? Well, the only way you can corroborate a supposed 'time traveler' is basically comparing what the person claimed with the developing history.
I'll refer you to a specific thread Alcyone created just because people wanted to know what to expect from the remaining part of the current century:

Ok, now time to pay some attention. She claimed, in 2009:
Some historians speculate that a major war, lasting about six years, broke out around 2012. The location most often suggested for this war is the Middle East. Although the identities of the players in this conflict are a matter of contentious debate, China seems to have been the primary benefactor of this hypothetical war, as China is known to have become the most influential world power in the Middle East by 2030. In addition, the United States and, to a lesser degree, Russia, seem to have expended a great deal of resources for some reason during the 2010s, as the national debt of both countries increased dramatically.
Now, let's contrast this information with the known facts:
After the events of the arab spring, in 2011 a horrendous civil war broke out in Syria. We all know that sadly, that the war still continues, with thousands and thousand of deaths.
Also, it's interesting to note what happened to the national debt of both Russia and the US. An article from today claims:

If you follow Alcyone's responses in many, many threads, she also posted this:

See the bolded text. Ring a bell? We all know what happened with Ukraine and now with Syria and the involvement of both countries. It's not uncommon read on the MSM things like this:

Ok then, some days ago, against many 'polls' and predictions, Donald Trump won the election. This is what Alcyone claimed back then:
Ancient records say the 45th, 46th, and 48th Presidents were Republicans. So the Republican Party isn't dead yet.
If anyone was curious, the 47th President was a Democrat.
So yeah, in fact, the 45th president is republican.
Now, what other events we could verify in the near future?
As she said, the 46th president should be also republican, and we could verify this in 2020 or 2024.
And of course, as you can read from her XXI century thread, the World War III started in 2031 up to 2039, involving mainly China and the US, culminating with the american capitulation.
So well, I found it interesting back then, and now specially after this election, takes some sort of relevance. Just wanted to share it with you guys.
