Original Message This would actually be pretty simple.

First you identify them and find out where they live.

Then you register them. Figure out a system that makes them report periodically.

Figure out a system to give them a path for citizenship. Probably a point based system. If you have more points the easier the process becomes.

But here is the most important point and it would weed out a lot of them. Make them pay a tax until they become citizens. Not something ridiculous, something based on what they can afford.

This can be done by employers along with withholding. People that are paid cash will be found out when they don't pay a tax at all.

This is a very brief outline and would put a little fairness into a system that would bring everyone together or weed out people that don't want to participate.

The other thing is that immigration must be done legally to all those who come to our country in the future. No more illegals to come in. REALISTIC quota numbers.

Getting back to the registration, point aspect. Of course multiple deportations, crimes, etc. will wreck someone's point status. They would be sent back with dire suggestions not to ever return.
