Original Message 1970's - Many folks liked Rock AND Disco, but would never admit it.

Girls liked to dance, guys LOVED to dance with girls.

We danced to everything.

I miss those days.

But here is a video of a famous Philly teen dance show mogul who tried to make his own 'Dick Clark's American Bandstand' type of empire in the city where it was born. They ended up in syndication all over the U.S.A. & Canada. Notice the similarity between him and Eugene Levy's "Mel's Rock Pile" character on SCTV. They copied him, he was such a caricature then:
