There is no good reason why any real estate should be abandoned. Well, I guess there are 2: 1. Environmental catastrophic pollution 2. Taxes
or 3. Unprofitable venture due to liability exposure and its not "abandoned", just closed, and nature is reclaiming the land. you want to see collapsed America? go film in [s]Philly[/s] Detroit.
Fixed. Detroit is the biggest pile of sh*t in the US.
B.S., Detroit is an oasis of resources, and only fools are sitting around crying about it's heyday versus capitalizing on its' renaissance!!
Walt Disney World's first water park, Disney River Country, closed 25 years after debuting in 1976. It has remained shut for more than 15 years. The park's pool was filled in with concrete last year.
Seph Lawless, a Cleveland-based photographer whose work includes abandoned spaces like the inside of the vacant Chicago-area Lincoln Mall, took photos of the empty Disney River Country for a series available in his forthcoming book, "Autopsy of America: The Death of a Nation."
