The one key doctrine
In 2 John verse 9 he mentions a doctrine that is so important that it establishes an essential difference between those who do and those who do not HAVE God. The matter is so important that in verse 10 those who do not have this one doctrine are not even to be allowed into one's own home. What is this doctrine?
2 John verses 9-11
9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
The doctrine of Christ
The doctrine of Christ, who Jesus is, by the bible's own testimony is the most important doctrine the Christian can possess. Who is this Christ that died on the cross for the sins of mankind? Was he a created being, created by God the Father only to be killed because of his rebellious creation? If this is who Jesus really is then anyone could have died for man's sins. It could have been any angel, any man, or it could even have been you or I.
But the doctrine of Christ as taught in the bible is something far different. Jesus Christ was not just a created being, a sort of fall guy sent from heaven. The bible clearly teaches the Lord Jesus Christ was and is GOD HIMSELF, that is was the Creator and Sustainer of the entire universe, Almighty God himself, who came down and took upon himself his own penalty for the sins of mankind. God in his love for man didn't send anyone else, but he he himself came and allowed his own precious blood to be spilled for our sins.
The bible teaches that Jesus is God
This is the key teaching of the bible which is clearly taught in the authorized King James version of the bible. Because the Jehovah's Witnesses have not accepted this doctrine they have prepared their own translation which greatly obscures this basic biblical truth. But even in their New World Translation (NWT) bible this doctrine can be clearly seen by simply examining the bible's teaching on who God and Jesus are. If every quality and attribute possessed by God is also possessed by Jesus then Jesus himself must be God.
About the translation
While we do not believe that the Jehovah's Witnesses' New World Translation is an accurate translation of the bible we are using its scriptures to prove that even in their own translation Jesus is still, unmistakably the one and only God.
We will do a scriptural comparison of NWT verses to other NWT verses and we will find out who this bible says that Jesus is and who this bible says that God (or Jehovah) is.

Who is Jesus?
This is by no means the end. The list of who Jesus is goes on and on. Every attribute of God is also ascribed to Christ.
Therefore Jesus Christ must be more thna a mere man. Men do not possess all the qualities of God. Only God himself can possess all the qualities of God. Therefore Jesus Christ himself must be the one true God.
Though the Jehovah's Witnesses deny this their own bible clearly teaches it, as does the King James bible and every other translation.
A classic example of how the NWT has incorrectly translated certain vital scriptures in the holy bible can be seen by examining John 1:1. The Jehovah's Witnesses NWT says "and the Word was a god."
There are at least 18 other translations of the bible that translates the last words in John 1:1 as "the Word was God." They are: King James, Douay, Darby, Rotherham, New Life Testament, New International, Jerusalem, Modern King James, Revised Standard, American Standard, Numeric English, New American Standard, Berkeley, Phillips, Weymouth, Montgomery, Young's Literal translation, New Testament in Basic English.
In addition to these 18 translations we have compiled 8 other versions which say:

Out of all the existing translations of the holy bible taken from the original languages only those published by the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society deny that Jesus Christ is God.
Therefore is you find yourself in the Jehovah's Witnesses or similar organization which does not believe and teach this essential Christian doctrine your eternal salvation may very well depend on your leaving them and finding a truth in revelation by a relationship with the Lord God Almighty Jesus Christ himself.
Jesus is equal to God
Keep this mental attitude in you that was also in Christ Jesus, who, although he was existing in God’s form, gave no consideration to a seizure, namely, that he should be equal to God.

Matthew 6:22
One is only equal to one, not two or any other number. 1=1. If Jesus is not equal to the Father then there cannot be the receiving of the Holy Spirit. The Jehovah's Witnesses must stop believing that the Father God is greater in authority than the Son of God or they will not receive the Holy Spirit. When they put the Father God on a tier, a pedestal of hierarchy above the Son it is not true. To look at the trinity as a triangle is not good.

The bible says Jesus is Lord of lords, only God is Lord of lords, therefore Jesus is God. If the Father is greater than the Son then truly it is blasphemy. But if one believes in their heart, whether they know not yet that Jesus the Son is also the Father, that the Son is EQUAL to the Father and the Father is EQUAL to the Son then the Lord God Almighty will accept that if it is a true belief. Then if that person should ask Jesus directly for forgiveness of all their sins and for his Holy Spirit it will be granted provided there is no unforgiveness in their heart.
When one believes that the Father is GREATER, BETTER, MORE POWERFUL, KNOWS MORE, IS MORE, IS HIGHER, MORE AUTHORITATIVE than the Son then that person cannot receive the Holy Spirit until they believe that they are equal.
And because the Father went into the virgin Mary and came out of the virgin Mary they are not only equal but the same. They are not 1 Father and 1 Son but rather 1 God. God went into the virgin Mary and God came out. The Father Spirit went in and came out as God in the flesh.
Jesus' earthly dad is no one. Jesus' dad is the Father God. But it's only for the sake of identity. Jesus' is his Father, he went into the virgin Mary and came out. God went in and God came out. Everything he did was as an example for HIS children, those who would listen and receive and believe and obey.
