[quote:Anonymous Coward 73657906:MV8zNTg3NTY2XzY0MDYxNDIxX0Q0RDFBNjA2] Trump is doing a wonderful job and is appreciated greatly. He would do even better if he would fire Sessions tomorrow. [/quote]

Donald Trump has decided that his friend and loyal political ally Jeff Sessions is no longer of any use to him, so he’s now doing everything he can to pressure Sessions to resign. Short of that, he’s willing to simply humiliate Sessions in public on a daily basis. This should come as a surprise to no one, as it’s long been how Trump uses people up and then discards them. But for some of his own key allies, the betrayal appears to be coming as something of a wake-up call.
Foremost among them is Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, who is reportedly so offended by Donald Trump’s treatment of his fellow cabinet member Jeff Sessions that he’s suddenly taking “time off” from the job, and he’s considering resigning altogether. And Tillerson isn’t the only one who now seems to be trying to find an exit ramp from the Trump circus show.
When the Trump administration floated the name of Rudy Giuliani as a possible replacement for Jeff Sessions in Attorney General role, Giuliani promptly announced that he doesn’t want the job. Giuliani took things even further by defending Sessions’ decision to recuse himself from the Russia investigation, standing in direct defiance against Trump’s own stated view on the matter.
Secretary of Defense James Mattis is also suddenly on a curiously timed ‘vacation’ which could end up being something or nothing. But with Trump now trying to throw arguably his most important political ally overboard in potentially reputation-destroying fashion, it’s possible that Trump’s other top sycophants are picturing themselves being the next Jeff Sessions and wondering if they should get out while they still can.
Even Breitbart has turned against Trump on this one:
