A brush fire raged through more than 2,000 acres Friday in the San Fernando Valley and led to hundreds of evacuations as it spread quickly amid windy, hot conditions north of the 210 Freeway.

The La Tuna Fire was burning in heavy hillside brush in the Sun Valley and Sunland-Tujunga areas.

It began moving over the hills toward Burbank late Friday night.
