[quote:Anonymous Coward 74762152:MV8zNjMzODg0XzY0OTU2NzMwXzEzMjNDQkZF] OP, I agree with your conclusion, but disagree with your logic. Since she didn't publish the book until after she lost, that itself can't be the reason. (I know, you're implying it's indicative, but it's still a poor example and a bad explanation.) Since an election is supposed to be a sign of whom the masses want, then, by definition, the masses didn't want Hillary, regardless of the reason. That said, Hillary's biggest turn-off to the voting public was her self-assurance. She believed herself a shoe-in, which is very condescending to anyone who wants to validly participate in the voting process. She was saying, "I am the best choice, anyone who doesn't automatically agree with that is clearly a moran." Basically, she alienated a large group of voters by calling them fools for not instinctively voting for her without question. But more importantly, the fact that she lost shows that she was NOT the best candidate ever. The best candidate ever wouldn't lose.
My coworker is a total snowflake. He sees discrimination around every corner. His persecution complex has been off the hook since the election. He posted something today tat said something like "Hillary was the most qualified candidate ever. And people don't like her for no other reason than that she is a woman. She is the most hated public figure in our history and there is no other explanation why. And now we're stuck with the monster in the White House now. What could have been."
I texted him and said the following:
"You know why people don't like Hillary? Cause she does things like write a whiny book about all the things that made her lose. She just doesn't get how she comes across."
It did not go well for him from there. Word to the wise. Don't trigger your local snowflake unless you want to see stuff melt.
