In the Gothenburg Book Fair, two new children's books were launched for children aged 3 to 6 years. The names of the books are "Grandpa has four wives" and "Grandma is not a ghost".
This is not a joke, but the Gothenburg Book Fair actually revealed such books.
The books have been written by Oscar Trimbel and are sold by somalia Somali Nordic Culture. Books have been ordered for Swedish libraries.
In the book, four grandmother's grandmothers are told about Asl, who has never resided in Somalia, but is now on vacation to go to their home country. Asli finally gets to meet his grandfather and four grandmothers and explore Somali culture. Hopefully Asl will not be circumcised.
The grandmother's book explores the son of Omar who wants to dress up as a Halloween ghost. Omar wants his grandmother to go to Hallowen, otherwise the event may be too exciting. Grandmother, however, is not a ghost, though dressed in ghosts.
In Finland, such a reference to ghosts or eagles in the dressed people would be crude racism and a bad hate crime, as we remember one of the Easter bunnies.
