[quote:BamaGirl73:MV8zNjU3MjU1XzY1MzQ0NDI3X0YwODVGN0Q0] Thanks for all of the replies and encouragement! I realized that I left some things out last night as far as my symptoms. I know I have the typical lupus & fibro "brain fog" because I've had that since I got sick. My rheumy thinks the new symptoms are beyond that though. I've been having trouble thinking of the right words when I'm talking sometimes for a while, but now it's affecting my writing. Let me explain...I have a journalism degree, have been a writer all my life and used to work in news including copy editing (it has always been natural-mistakes would literally "pop out" to me). I actually discovered by accident the other day when I saw something I had written earlier, that I had written the wrong word on something and didn't catch it as I was writing it. In my head, I was thinking the correct word at the time, but my fingers typed a totally different word. And since then, I've noticed it a few more times as well. Also, I'm getting confused a lot. Recently, my son and his friends and I were outside (they are all in their 20's) and for some reason I'll never know, I start asking his best friend if he remembered so-and-so because in my mind, I was thinking he was the same age as me. It took several minutes for them to finally convince me that he was not. (And now my son's friends think his mom is crazy.) Also, my hearing keeps getting worse and I have this annoying as hell crackling noise in my right ear that while not constant, happens enough that it is slowly driving me mad. It even wakes me up at night and is getting louder, so much that sometimes it vibrates my ear drum. You know the candy Pop Rocks? That's what it sounds like in my ear. I also realize that I forgot to mention that last year (maybe year before, I don't know) my last rheumy wanted to me see a neurologist just in case. They did a MRI (which if you are sound sensitive like me is literally hell) and they found a small non-cancerous growth somewhere close to my brain stem. Told me it was nothing to worry about. Guess what, I don't believe them, but I haven't had it checked again because they don't do these things for free. OK, again, thanks for all the replies! It means more than you will ever know! I got some news today at the doctor that didn't set well with me. I won't know for sure until I have see another doctor, have tests, etc., but I may get to miss the "grand finale." I know this may sound kinda weird, but I really, really need to talk to someone who can help me regarding "loose ends" with my ex. Thanks!
