1000 armed soldiers killed by crocodiles in 2 nights
During world war 2, some 1000 armed Japanese soldiers were killed by a group of large crocodiles and medium crocodiles on Ramree island close to Burma.
The platoon of 1000 Japanese soldiers were defeated by British and Indian soldiers. To escape capture, the Japanese soldiers entered the swamps of Ramree island so that they can join the bigger platoon of Japanese soldiers on the other side of Ramree.
During night time, those 1000 soldiers were attacked by large number of crocodiles. The soldiers blindly fired on the attacking crocodiles. Only 20 soldiers managed to survive the crocodile attacks. Later they told that they were not able to see the crocodiles who came out of nowhere and took away the soldiers one by one.
