Original Message I live in El Dorado County, (near Sacramento), and started the process about 6 months ago. The Sheriff in this county is awesome, very friendly and personally caries a small copy of the constitution in his pocket every day. He's a "Shall Issue" Sheriff. Unless you have a crappy background check, saying that you want a CCW for "self defense" is good enough for him. You can have as many guns on your permit...and I mean some people have over a dozen guns listed.

He's one of the Sheriffs that sent a letter to the prior administration indicating that he will not enforce some of the proposed anti 2A laws.

Also the Sherriff in my county will not be complying with CA new sanctuary State bill that was signed by Moonbeam.

I just hear so much crap about California....most of it I agree with, but there are areas that are very conservative still.

Another thing that surprised me is that there are a lot of people relocating from the Bay Area to El Dorado County wanting to get their CCW. Some CA folks are waking up and fighting back.
